Cheap 4K TV
Why is this ultra HD 4K TV so cheap? What’s the catch?
You would think a cheap 4K HD TV had to cut a lot of corners to be at this price, maybe the picture wasn’t so bright, sounds terrible or the design is hideous?
Well it turns out there’s a 4K HD TV out there that ticks all the boxes for a 4K ultra TV and at a cheap price!
When side by side to big brands and more expensive 4K TVs like Samsung and Sony, this TV actually stands out. Brighter, more vivid image quality and the cheapest.
Who Is TCL?
TCL is the brand of this monitor and could be the reason why this TV is so cheap. Because most consumers have never heard of them before.
Its safe to say that TCL makes 4K TVs at a 1080P price point.
Here’s the deal…
All of the software on this TV is based on Roku’s operating system. The way Roku makes their OS is incredible, its fluid and feels familiar when you use it. Everything from the menu, settings and options are easy to navigate and customize. I love the way the menu gets out of the way when your adjusting a setting, and lets you adjust the volume whiles muted.
These are minor things but when combined its something that will feel major.
The best part is:
Roku even have their own app which allows you to control the TV on your phone instead of the remote.
I actually prefer the Roku phone app over the remote because…
…if you were to go on YouTube and type in a long sentence, it would take a while. To solve this Roku built a keyboard into their app which makes it much faster to type.
Maybe you don’t have a smart phone to download the Roku remote control app and that’s just fine. The Remote which Roku provided works just fine, its simple and has everything you need in a TV remote.
Good For 4K Gaming?
What I mean by this is, it depends on the kind of games you play, do you play fast pase games like Battlefield? No, noticeable input lag when paying twitch shooters…
if you play slower games like Grand theft auto, racing games and strategy games, then this TV will be sufficient.
Is This Perfect?
As much as I love this cheap 4K HD TV, I’m not going to shy away from telling you it’s cons.
To be completely honest…
Its hard for me to find faults in this product, some faults that are present in this TV are: YouTube app crashing a couple of times…
…input lag at 4K, it’s almost impossible to have a great gaming experience with fast pace games.
(But to be fair input lag is generally present at the 4K resolution, even with more expensive 4K TVs out there).
At the bottom of the remote there are some app short cuts which can be useless since one app is out of business and you can’t reprogram that button.
The Pros really do out way the cons here, a lot!
What Others Are Saying About This Product…
“Couldn’t be happier with this purchase and for the price I paid for it. A smart TV at a 55″ size was perfect for the budget I had to spend. I typically by Samsung HDTV but I was short on funds and needed a TV for the living room and this lived up to what I bought! Sound bar is probably an addition I will add due to the internal speaker being pretty basic but other than that great TV!” Clay Campell
“I purchased my TCL 55″ TV about 8 months ago. I wanted to wait till I got some use out of it before I posted a review on it and I have to admit I had my mind set on a samsung and was reluctant to purchase a TCL…I am glad I made the purchase, this tv has been great with no issues and easy to use, the picture quality is really nice and I am starting to be able to use the 4k which is awesome. It was a good buy.” Ronald Justus

Is It Worth Buying A 4K TV?
Here’s the deal:
1080P is still the standard resolution, but we are seeing so many people switching to higher resolutions and 4K is slowly but surely becoming the new standard. Just a few years ago it would cost thousands for a 4K TV and over $700 for a standard 1080P TV.
Luckily for you…
Prices have dramatically dropped for all TVs, especially at 4K. But this 4K TV you are currently reading about, the “TCL 55US5800 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Roku Smart LED TV” is abnormally cheap and who knows for how long.
Today is the best time to get a 4K TV.
The bottom line is:
This TV gives you everything you could ask for in a TV whiles giving you a taste of the future. And all this at a very reasonable, competitive price and pretty much no sacrifices made in the TV’s looks or performance.
